Update: OPP lay second-degree murder charge in Lambton homicide

OPP officials allege: Lambton County OPP have charged an individual with second-degree murder following a disturbance that left one person dead and another seriously injured in Lambton Shores.

Police were called to a residence on Northville Crescent on Nov. 29, 2025, at about 1:40 p.m. Officers arrived to find one person deceased. A second person suffering serious injuries was transported to hospital.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old individual from Middlesex Centre was arrested later that day. The accused is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, two counts of aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Sarnia on Dec. 10, 2025.

A publication ban is in place, and police say no further information can be released at this time.

The Lambton County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, with support from the Office of the Chief Coroner, the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service and OPP forensic specialists.
