Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police have charged a Dresden woman after an altercation involving a weapon on Thursday afternoon.
Officers were called to the community around 2:47 p.m. for a report of an assault.
Police say a verbal dispute between a 39-year-old Dresden woman and a 36-year-old Corunna man escalated when the woman threw a bag containing several items toward him, striking a nearby window.
No injuries or property damage were reported.
Officers later found the woman on Sydenham Street in Dresden and arrested her.
She is charged with assault with a weapon and was released from headquarters with a Jan. 14 court date.
