Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two Chatham-Kent men have been arrested in connection with fraudulent credit card purchases reported last month in Wallaceburg.
Police say a 59-year-old woman reported her wallet stolen on Nov. 14, and several unauthorized transactions were made at local businesses.
Surveillance footage helped identify two men, aged 49 and 36, as suspects.
A warrant was issued, and officers arrested both men early Thursday morning on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
They are each charged with fraud under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both were released with conditions and are scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.
