Drugs seized, woman charged after search warrant in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police say a quantity of suspected drugs with an estimated street value of $16,000 was seized following the execution of a search warrant in Chatham.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Unit executed the warrant at a residence on Northland Drive at approximately 4:06 p.m. on April 7, 2026.

Police say officers located and seized 77.5 grams of fentanyl, 26 grams of cocaine and four grams of methamphetamine, along with cellular phones, packaging material, digital scales and Canadian currency.

A 32-year-old woman from Chatham was arrested and charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, including fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine.

She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.

Police said the Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to work proactively to disrupt the distribution of illicit drugs and enhance the safety of the community.
