Sweet Tree Cafe on Walpole Island continues to grow its offerings while keeping the charm that has made it a local favourite. Located at 249 Peters Road, the cafe is open seven days a week, running Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The shop has recently added new breakfast pastries, including egg croissants and spinach & feta danish. These join the regular lineup of treats such as cheesecake tarts, muffins, granola bars, and a rotating weekly dessert feature.
Sweet Tree Cafe is well known for its strawberries and cream drink topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce, but the menu stretches far beyond that. With more than 70 hot and cold beverages available, new barista creations appear often, giving customers something fresh to try with each visit.
Owner Yolanda Blackbird encourages customers to follow along on Facebook or Instagram to see what is showing up on the counter next. Visitors can stop by the quaint shop to explore the updated menu board, which has just been redesigned, or take advantage of the drive‑through for added convenience.
In addition to expanding its menu, the cafe is preparing to go green with the installation of solar power, a change the team says they are excited about as they continue to grow and evolve.
