Road rage incident on the 401 leads to uttering threats charges in C-K

OPP officials allege: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a person from Chatham Kent after a road rage incident.

On July 31, 2025, at approximately 12:42 p.m., members of the OPP responded to a report of a threat on Highway 401.

The suspect subsequently located and was taken into custody without incident.

A 44-years-old Chatham Kent man is charged with Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
