Matt Cousins Golf Tournament donates $80,000 to local lacrosse (Video)

The 2025 Matt Cousins Memorial Golf Tournament has once again proven to be a powerful force for community support and lacrosse development in Wallaceburg.

This year’s event raised an impressive $80,000, benefiting the Wallaceburg Red Devils Jr. B Lacrosse Club, Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse Association, and Leave Your Mark Lacrosse.

Over the past two years, the tournament has generated a total of $155,000, all directed toward promoting and sustaining lacrosse in the region.

Organizers expressed deep gratitude to the many sponsors who made the event possible, acknowledging that such a large-scale tournament could not have been achieved without their continued backing.

Families, local businesses, and Wallaceburg lacrosse organizations also received heartfelt thanks for their unwavering support.

The tournament honours the legacy of Matt Cousins, who played lacrosse for 14 years and whose passion for the sport continues to inspire.

In response to the overwhelming community engagement, organizers have already secured May 23, 2026, at Hidden Hills for next year’s event.

The team behind the tournament looks forward to welcoming everyone back for another memorable day of golf and giving.
