Chatham man arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 33-year-old man from Chatham was arrested Friday evening on an outstanding warrant stemming from a theft investigation earlier this fall.

Police say the original incident occurred on October 8, 2025, when officers responded to a theft at a retail store on Grand Avenue West.

The accused was charged at the time but later failed to attend court, resulting in a warrant for his arrest.

On December 13, 2025, at approximately 8:39 p.m., officers located him at a residence on Fifth Street and arrested him for failure to attend court.

He was later released with a new court date.
