Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 49-year-old Chatham man is facing a charge after an alleged assault at a licensed establishment in Chatham.
The said officers responded Friday at about 11:47 a.m. to a report of an assault on Byng Avenue.
Police said an investigation determined an altercation between two individuals escalated, resulting in one person being pushed to the ground and suffering injuries that required medical assessment.
The accused was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Police said the man was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of Aug. 11, 2026.
