A Ward 4 & 5 ‘Meet The Candidates’ event is scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, located at 110 Duke Street in Wallaceburg.
“Your opportunity to get to know the 2022 Municipal candidates in Ward 4 and 5,” Wallaceburg and District Chamber of Commerce officials posted on social media.
Both current Wallaceburg Councillors, Carmen McGregor and Aaron Hall, have been acclaimed for their positions this election, as no one else filed their papers to run in Ward 5 – Wallaceburg.
Both Councillors took to social media to express their gratitude last month.
“Thank you Wallaceburg and all that were willing to work with me on a campaign this year,” McGregor said.
“I feel honoured and at the same time humbled by the support for Aaron Hall and I to lead our community throughout the next municipal term of Council.”
Hall added: “Thank-you for your trust, your confidence and your support. It was an honour to be elected as one of your Municipality of Chatham-Kent Council Ward 5 representatives in 2018 and I’m equally thrilled to be acclaimed for the position for another four-year term. It’s truly an honour to serve and represent all of you, it’s something I take very seriously and take to heart. I’m grateful for the opportunity to carry on with this work.”
Eight candidates are running for one of two spots on Municipality of Chatham-Kent Council, representing Ward 4 – North Kent.
