Warrant executed in Howard Township, bail violations in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 2:19 p.m., The Ontario Provincial Police contacted the Chatham-Kent Police to advise, as a result of a traffic stop, they had arrested a man on warrants held by CKPS.

The 22-year-old Howard Township man was transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

The man is currently facing the following charges: public mischief, failing to comply with an undertaking, mischief, assault causing bodily harm, three counts of assault with a weapon, three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, five counts of uttering threats.

As a result, the man was remanded into custody with a future court date of April 3, 2024.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 4:21 p.m., while investigating suspicious activity on Grand Avenue East in Chatham, police conducted a traffic stop.

Through investigation, the officer confirmed the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant for bail violations.

The 33-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was held pending a bail hearing. She is currently facing the following charges: failing to comply with a release order.
