Tickets are now available for a fundraiser that has been launched in support of a local youth.
“I have tickets available for purchase to win a beautiful handcrafted lacrosse stick from Traditional Lacrosse to support the Wilbur family and there handsome baby Dylan,” Jamie Knight, owner of Leave Your Mark Lacrosse, said.
Knight added that tickets are $10 each or three for $25.
“For me and all of us at Leave Your Mark Lacrosse we want to do as much as we can for the Wilbur family,” Knight said.
“I’m hoping that our lacrosse family and this amazing community can rally around this and help them out in a time of need.”
Dylan’s mother Jess Wilbur provided an update recently to Knight at Leave Your Mark Lacrosse.
“It’s been fairly quiet lately, which we liked, until we received the results from Dylan’s last MRI,” Jess said.
“His main tumor is still growing sadly. The doctors have decided to start another medication, along with the oral one he gets at home, as they feel quite confident this will be successful (in stopping the tumor from growing.) These types of tumors are not only very rare, but very aggressive and sometimes don’t react the way we want to the medication.”
Jess said her son has still been in his usual good spirits for the most part.
“”This little one is a fighter and I have no doubt in my mind he will tackle this next little hiccup,” she said.
“Please continue to pray for him and that this new combination of medications works for years and years to come.”
